One day after announcing $23 million in Series B funding, Leesa continues its disruption of the sleep industry with the release of a unique pillow featuring Leesa’s proprietary Universal Adaptive Feel™ as well as a limited-edition patriotic blanket.

VIRGINIA BEACH — Leesa Sleep, the leading direct-to-consumer online luxury mattress retailer, today announced the official launch of two new products: a beautifully-designed pillow that looks as different as it feels, and a limited-edition patriotic blanket inspired and co-created by Leesa ambassador, multi-gold medalist gymnast and “nap queen” Aly Raisman. The Leesa pillow features the company’s proprietary Universal Adaptive Feel™ designed to adapt to all body types and sleeping positions. With these latest products, new celebrity partnerships and the continued growth of its world-class social impact program, Leesa continues to lead the shake-up of an industry that is in the midst of complete upheaval. The announcement this week of $23 million raised in Series B funding and the addition of Seventh Generation CEO John Replogle as its Chairman of the Board further demonstrates Leesa’s commitment to becoming a global leader in the sleep category, while using business as a force for good with the most powerful and far-reaching social impact program in the mattress industry.

Both the new Leesa pillow and the new Aly Blanket by Leesa were officially unveiled at a private event at Leesa’s Dream Gallery in New York City, where Leesa Co-Founder and CEO David Wolfe, reinforced the Company’s commitment to elevating life through better sleep. The new pillow uses Leesa’s exclusive cooling Avena® foam and offers Leesa’s unique Universal Adaptive Feel to solve two of the most common pillow-related problems: overheating and flattening over time. Consequently, Leesa’s pillow retains its shape and doesn’t need fluffing. The Leesa pillow was developed as a direct result of incorporating customer feedback that requested a pillow as comfortable as the Leesa mattress. The new Leesa pillow combines the beautiful design and luxurious feel of Leesa’s signature cover with the cooling and support benefits of the highly-reviewed and much loved Leesa mattress. Leesa also revealed more of its product pipeline with a sneak peek at its “soon-to-be-launched” foundation. Throughout the coming months, Leesa plans to share more innovation – with its products, its distribution channels, its sleep research, its brand partnerships and its commitment to social impact.

“Like all Leesa products, our latest line of pillows incorporates intensive testing and iteration. After more than two years of research and prototypes, this pillow delivers the perfect amount of support for any kind of sleeper,” said Jamie Diamonstein, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Leesa and 30-year mattress industry veteran. “While there are many different pillows in the marketplace right now, consumers are unsure of how to distinguish what makes any of them different – Leesa’s Universal Adaptive Feel provides unmistakable and lasting comfort for all sleepers.”

The limited-edition Aly Blanket by Leesa came out of early discussions with Aly when she joined forces with Leesa as a Brand Ambassador. Aly talked about how she traveled to gymnastics meets with a blanket as source of comfort during long car rides and hours spent in cold arenas. The Aly Blanket by Leesa, co-designed with Leesa’s Head of Design Mitch Murphy, combines Leesa’s extraordinary soft fabric with a patriotic design inspired by Aly’s incredible achievements when representing her country with pride as well as her appreciation for sleep! The blanket features Leesa’s notable four brand stripes in conjunction with the red, white and blue stars making for a striking, patriotic display.

“My partnership with Leesa is rooted not only in my belief that great sleep remains an important factor in my performance, but also in Leesa’s commitment to improving the lives of people in need of a comfortable and secure place to lay their head at night. Last week, I was able to help deliver mattresses with Leesa to Heading Home, a shelter in Boston close to my hometown. It was an incredible experience to see the excitement on their faces and the real impact that Leesa is having among the homeless community, which is something I’m proud to be a part of,” said Aly Raisman, multi-Gold Medalist and Leesa Sleep Ambassador. “The signature blanket represents my love for sleep and the comfort it brought me when I was traveling to gymnastics meets, not to mention I love anything patriotic!”
