IRELAND’S best-known bedding mogul is doing his bit in the fight against cancer by donating €5 for every mattress he sales to the Marie Keating Foundation.

Mattress Mick, whose real name is Michael Flynn, has partnered up with the charity to help provide money for its Comfort Fund – which helps families who are struggling financially due to cancer.

He said: “There’s hardly a single family in Ireland who isn’t affected by cancer, including my own, so we’re so glad to be doing our part to help fight the disease.”

“We’re giving €5 from every mattress sold online so that people who are having a tough time while going through cancer treatment can get a Comfort Fund grant to help them manage expenses like hospital costs, prescription charges, and oil fills and they can get back to focusing on their health.

“We hope that by the end of the year, we will have raised enough funds to help 12 families.”
